8th annual Rockin' on the Run 5k walk/run and family day

The eighth annual Rockin’ on the Run 5K Walk/Run and Family Day is scheduled for May 20, 2017 from 8a.m.-12p.m. at St. Patrick School, 226 Elm Street London, Ohio. The event includes a timed 5K walk/run, entertainment, food, free carnival games, a caricaturist, a silent auction and raffle items. All proceeds (after expenses) will benefit pediatric brain tumor research and awareness through Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation. The first 500 registrants get a swag bag with a lot of goodies (including a t-shirt!) and the first 500 finishers get a finishers medal! Also at registration we offer the unique opportunity to pick which fund you would like to support; pediatric brain tumor research or the cancer floors ‘fun’ fund. (Which purchases things for the children on the floor that isn’t medicine related i.e. holiday parties, special activities, gift cards, music therapy and so much more!) Our goal is to raise $20,000 for pediatric brain tumor research in the names of E.Reagyn Semler, Kyra Hopkins, Garrett Stout, Carrie Davis, Faith Brenly and Braxton Long. These children are currently fighting a very courageous battle with a brain tumor. We are also donating money in memory of Nate Elfrink and Violet Baier, who each lost their courageous battles with a brain tumor (February 2010 and December 2010 respectively).
